Slavic shield 2019 joint Russian-Serbian air defenсe exercise will be held in the Astrakhan region for the first time

In the Astrakhan region, on the basis of the Centre for Combat Training and Combat Use of the Aerospace Forces, Slavic Shield 2019 joint Russian-Serbian air defence exercise will be held for the first time.

The exercises involve the crews of anti-aircraft missile and radio-technical troops of the Russian Air Force and Air Defence of the Air Force and Air Defence of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Serbia, S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems, Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile and gun systems, and radar stations.

During the practical part, the participants of the exercise will have to repel a massive air strike of a mock enemy and practice practical launches at the Ashuluk training ground.
