The pilots of short-range bombers Su-24M of the Southern Military District in the Volgograd region have carried out training and combat tasks at low altitudes within the command post exercise.

As part of the exercise, the crews were alerted, performed piloting on Su-24M bombers at altitudes from 100 to 1 1,000 m at a speed of more than 1,000 km/h.

During the execution of tasks, 15 Su-24M crews destroyed a group of ground targets imitating a column of lightly armored vehicles, made maneuvers to evade fighter aircraft under countermeasures.

About 8.2 thousand military personnel take part in the tactical episodes, more than 2.5 thousand units of military equipment are involved, including about 30 aircraft and more than 60 helicopters. About 30 UAV crews are involved in conducting air reconnaissance and video recording of the practical actions of the troops.
