As stated by the Chief of the Nuclear Risk Reduction Center Sergey Ryzhkov, from August 27 to 29, China on the territory of Russia under the Agreement between the Russian Federation, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan and the People’s Republic of China on mutual reduction of armed forces in the border area inspection will be carried out.

The Chinese side chose the 22nd Fighter Aviation Regiment of the Eastern Military District as controllable object, based at the Central Angular Airfield in the Primorsky Territory.

The purpose of the inspection is to verify information previously provided by the Russian side about the forces of this regiment.

The inspectors will attend briefing on brigade as provided by the Vienna Document. They will also get opportunity to look over personnel and main armaments of the brigade.
