S7 group airlines have summed up their performance for July 2019. Over the last month, the airlines carried 1,942,647 passengers, which is 11.8% more than in July of 2018.
1,383,205 passengers flew within Russia, which is 12.8% more than in July of 2018. The growth in international flights was 9.3%. In July of 2019, the airlines carried 559,442 passengers on international flights.
Passenger traffic grew by 15.4% in half a year and amounted to 4,290,885 thousand pkm.
During the summer season, group airlines were offering new travel destinations to passengers. In addition to regular flights to Antalya, flights to Dalaman were added in July for those who enjoy vacationing in Turkey. This destination allows for easy access to popular resorts of Marmaris and Fethiye. Furthermore, July saw an increase in flight frequency to Simferopol and Krasnodar—popular southern cities for summer travel.
S7 group airlines continue to offer new services to passengers that allow for the most comfortable travel experience. In July, a test run of a facial recognition system was started in the business lounge of Domodedovo Airport’s domestic departure area.
The system allows passengers to enter the business lounge without presenting a boarding pass. Cameras installed at the entrance automatically take a picture, triggering a notification on the business lounge administrator’s screen with the passenger’s first and last name, flight number, and business lounge access privileges. To find out his or her flight status, a passenger can simply walk up to a flight schedule screen, which will then automatically highlight the relevant flight information.
