Soyuz MS-14 moved to the launch pad

On August 19, 2019, the Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket with the Soyuz MS-14 spacecraft was moved from the assembly and testing facility and installed on the launching pad No. 31 of the Baikonur Cosmodrome. The day zero schedule works began.

The rocket and space industry specialists are carrying out the prelaunch technological operations. On August 19, 2019, the autonomous tests of the crewed ship, carrier rocket and launch pad systems and mechanisms.

The launch is planned on August 22, 2019, at 03:38:33 UTC. This will be the first Soyuz MS crewed ship launched by the Soyuz-2.1a in an unmanned mode.

The aim of the flight is to deliver a complex payload, scientific equipment, medical supplies, food containers, expendable equipment, crew items, as well as cargo delivery from the station.

The ship also carries the anthropomorphic robot Skybot F-850 developed by the Androidnaya Technika company in cooperation with the Russian Foundation for Advanced Research Projects.
