A system of AS assurance measures is based on the AS-governing laws and regulations, which in turn are regulated by standards and recommendations from ICAO.
Sheremetyevo Airport pays a special attention to developing transport and aviation security system while focusing on implementation of advanced technology, process automation and reducing human error.
New facilities commissioned in the run-up of the 2018 World Cup— passenger Terminal B capable to accommodate 20 million passengers and cargo terminal of OOO Moscow Cargo capable of handling 380,000 tonnes per annum—received positive assessments. It was specifically noted that the following fundamental principles of ICAO had been taken into account during designing and construction of the facilities: an appropriate AS level had been ensured whilst simplifying the procedures and reducing the time for pre-flight formalities.
