On July, 1 Roscosmos specialists finished the Soyuz 2.1b space rocket general assembly in the Vostochny cosmodrome assembly and testing facility. The head end and third stage were docked with the "package" of the carrier rocket (which includes the first and second stages) according to the operations plan.
The space rocket has been installed onto the transportation and installation unit and is ready for transporting to the launchpad on July, 2. The launch of Soyuz 2.1b carrier rocket with Fregat booster, Meteor-M Russian meteorological spacecraft No. 2-2 and other secondary satellites is scheduled on 08:41 Moscow time, July, 5 2019.
The contracts between Exolaunch GmbH and Glavkosmos include launching of 28 satellites for Germany, France, USA, Israel, UK, Sweden, Finland, Thailand, Ecuador, Czech Republic and Estonia. The contract between Glavkosmos Launch Services and SSTL includes the launch of a spacecraft to demonstrate the technology. As part of Roscosmos State Corporation to develop and launch smaller spacecraft developed by the Russian universities, three academic CubeSats will be launched.
