Russian Ministry of Defence conducted test flights of the upgraded Tu-22M3M strategic bomber

The newest model of Russia's Tu-22M bomber performed its maiden flight on 28 December 2018. It has a modern digital glass cockpit and engine controls and electronic warfare countermeasures, as well as the ability to use precision air-to-surface weapons. This reported by Sputnik.

Russian TV Channel Zvezda has provided footage of the cutting-edge supersonic aircraft, Tupolev Tu-22M3M (NATO reporting name Backfire) participating in tests, proving its abilities under different weather conditions and altitudes. The swift warplane takes off with outspread wings but later folds them in order to shift into an arrow-like form.
