Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service has preliminarily found the government and governor of the Irkutsk Region, the airport of Irkutsk, investment group AEON, and airport holding Novaport guilty of collusion in construction of a terminal of the airport, the service’s Deputy Director Andrei Tsarikovsky told reporters on Monday. This reported by PRIME.

“The service has issued a preliminary conclusion in a case against Irkutsk International Airport, the government and the governor of the Irkutsk Region, AEON and Novaport, LLC Sistema Upravleniya and LLC Ramport Bezopasnost on their violation of article 16 of the law on protection of competition that covers collusion of authorities that hurt competition,” he said.

In late December 2018, the service said it held an inspection under the case of violation of law during construction of a new terminal of the Irkutsk Airport, but Novaport and AEON were holding back the service’s inspection, while government officials prevented representatives of the service from entering the government offices.
