Rossiya Airlines equipped aircraft departing from Pulkovo, with mobile servers, which provide passengers with access to the streaming entertainment system during the flight. 

In the run-up to the high season, Rossiya completed the planned testing of streaming entertainment systems based on the SIFES (Streaming in-flight entertainment system) technology on aircraft that operate flights from Pulkovo Airport – the main transit hub of the airline. Throughout the Wi-Fi connection, portable servers provide the access of passengers’ personal devices (smartphones, laptops, tablets) to the internal hotspot with the entertainment content. Now passengers can evaluate the last movies listen to audiobooks and use other services during the flight by installing the special ife.one application.

In addition to flights from the base aviation hub, in the beginning of the winter schedule of 2018, Rossiya launched the test mode of equipping all aircraft departing from Sheremetyevo, including ones to the Far East, with mobile servers.

In addition to the streaming system, passengers of Boeing 777 aircraft can use stationary entertainment systems. They can watch videos, check the flight information, call for flight attendants and set the individual light using the screen in the back of the front seat.

On regular flights from Sheremetyevo, the airline provides Business class passengers of flights that last longer than 6 hours, with personal digital devices. Samsung Galaxy Tab tablets work with the same streaming technology, connecting to the server with the content through WI-Fi, but give an opportunity of more comfortable viewing of the media content due to the larger screen diagonal. 

Saint Peterwburg is the key hub of the route network. According to the data of Pulkovo Airport, Rossiya Airlines is the leading carrier of the North-West region. Geography of flights from the airport in the summer schedule 2019 covers 52 destinations, 29 of them are international. According to the results of 2019, Rossiya has transported more than 5,5 mln passengers through Pulkovo.
