The Russian military has spotted 22 foreign reconnaissance aircraft near the Russian airspace over the past week, an infographic published on the Armed Forces' official newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda showed on Friday.

The material showed that Russian jets had been scrambled four times to prevent foreign planes from crossing into the Russian airspace.

There have been no trespasses, the infographic showed.

The Russian Defense Ministry said that Russian military pilots carried out 340 flight shifts at 83 airfields.
