Ruselectronics Holding and Concern Avtomatika operating as part of Rostec State Corporation have tested an automated complex intended for monitoring the state of transmission lines, Rostec informed.

The complex includes UAVs with multifunctional charging stations and special software for processing the recorded photo and video materials.

The specialized software developed by Vega Corporation (operating as part of Ruselectronics Holding) ensures autonomous operation of the complex. Following a given route, UAVs determine the necessary photo and video shooting angles without human assistance. The developers have also fitter the UAVs up with a system of precision landing on docking stations.

The use of drones equipped with a camera and thermal sights detects malfunctions in the equipment, which drastically reduces the number of failures in power lines.
