First Russia's helicopter carrier based on Ivan Gren warship to be built by 2024

The first expeditionary force vessel based on the large amphibious assault ship Ivan Gren is due to be built in 2024 but it needs to be re-designed, Chief of Russia’s United Shipbuilding Corporation Alexei Rakhmanov said on Wednesday. This reported by TASS.

"We want to complete everything in 2024. This is a difficult case because it will be necessary to re-design it," Rakhmanov said at an expert meeting on the export potential of the Russian shipbuilding industry.

The chief of the United Shipbuilding Corporation said the project involved the construction of the expeditionary force vessel based precisely on the Ivan Gren warship.
