Airborne Troops complete the first stage of Airborne Platoon contest

The first stage of Airborne Platoon field training competition held among servicemen of Airborne Troops finished at Raevsky range in Krasnodar region.

The leading position in the overall ranking was taken by servicemen of the 7th Guards Airborne Assault Division, the second place – by the team of Ryazan Higher Airborne Command School, which compete on the BMD-2, third - also by the team of the famous Command School on the BMD-4M, fourth place is kept by the servicemen of the 242nd Omsk Training Centre.

More than 750 servicemen from formations and military units of Airborne Troops take part in the qualifying stage, where they compete in teams, determining the best airborne platoon of Airborne Troops.

The qualifying stage of Airborne Platoon contest held among the units of the Airborne Troops will end on April 21.

The winning team will represent the Airborne Troops at the international stage of the International Army Games.
