Today, the Tank Biathlon, Suvorov Attack and Sniper Frontier district preliminaries have kicked off at the Prudboy training ground involving best crews of the Southern Military District. This reported by Russian Defense Ministry press-service.

The competitions will start with a large-scale demonstration of combat capabilities of motorised rifle, tank and artillery units, assault and army aviation, tactical airborne assault groups as well as scouts in hand-to-hand combat.

After the demonstration of the flight and attack capabilities of the Su-24M and Su-25SM aircraft, guests will see the combat use of the Mi-35 and Mi-8 AMTSh helicopters, which will engage nonguided missiles and will ensure the landing of the airborne groups.

Also, participants of the grand military show will demonstrate the capabilities of the BMP-3 third generation infantry fighting vehicles, modern T-90S tanks and 152-mm 2S19 Msta-S self-propelled artillery howitzers.

At the end, reconnaissance units will perform landing and demonstrate army hand-to-hand combat.

More than 200 servicemen and about 50 pieces of armaments will be involved in the events.
