Soyuz MS-12 mated to adapter section

At Baikonur launch site preparations continue for the planned on March 14 launch of launch vehicle integrated with Soyuz MS-12 to the International Space Station.

On Saturday, March 2, the spacecraft was transferred to the pre-launch processing facility after having been filled with propellant components and compressed gases and installed into a jig for further prelaunch processing operations.

Today specialists from RSC Energia working at the Baikonur launch site have completed the sequence of operations to mate the crew transportation spacecraft Soyuz MS-12 to the adapter section.

The launch of the launch vehicle integrated with Soyuz MS-12 to the International Space Station is scheduled for March 14, 2019 from the Baikonur launch site. The main crew of ISS-59/60 consists of a Roscosmos cosmonaut Alexey Ovchinin and NASA astronauts Nick Hague and Christina Koch. Their backups are a Roscosmos cosmonaut Aleksandr Skvortsov, an ESA astronaut Luca Parmitano, and a NASA astronaut Andrew Morgan.
