The Russian authorities will allocate 15 bln rubles ($231 mln) to subsidize air travel to a number of regions of the country in 2019, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said on Friday during a live chat with users of the VKontakte social network. This reported by TASS.
"Last year, we spent about seven bln [rubles] on the ticket reimbursement system for certain groups of citizens - these are students, pensioners, disabled people - (to compensate flight tickets) from one part of the country to another. This year we will spend 15 billion on supporting such flights [rubles], that is, we are increasing this form of subsidy," Medvedev said.
