In the framework of the exercise as part of the united air defence system of the CIS member states, servicemen of military units of the air defence units of the Russian military in Armenia destroyed mock enemy aircraft.
Anti-aircraft missile and anti-aircraft divisions were alerted, and made 30-km march to the Kamhud firing range and took firing positions to ensure defence. During an exercise at the Kamhud training ground, anti-aircraft gunners carried out special-combat training tasks for reconnaissance, search and tracking of air targets, destruction of cruise missiles and the enemy's aircraft.
More than 300 servicemen and about 100 pieces of special and military hardware were involved.
