Russia seeks to develop various cooperation plans with Malaysia in the field of aviation, including the creation of joint service centers and tech transfer, Director for International Cooperation and Regional Policy at Russia's Rostec defense and technology company Viktor Kladov said on Tuesday.

"We are looking to expand our aviation partnership and we are willing to consider different plans for cooperation: from financing supplies to creating joint service centers and technology transfers," the Russian Helicopters (Rostec subsidiary) holding quotes Kladov as saying.

He also highlighted that Russia and Malaysia have been cooperating in the aerospace industry for a few decades now, with Malaysia using a few Russian Mi-17 helicopters.

On Tuesday, the Russian Helicopters stand was visited by Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir bin Mohamad. Rostec delegation head and Russian Helicopters Deputy Director General for Aftersales Service Igor Chechikov introduced him to the companies’ latest research. The Prime Minister also received a present of an Ansat helicopter model from the Russian delegation.
