As part of large-scale exercises involving units of the Eastern Military District in the Transbaikal region, a joint air defence system was deployed to cover the troops.
For this purpose, about 3,500 troops of the air defence forces were dispatched to the Telemba training ground. The Buk, Tor, Strela-10 air defence missile systems will perform about 100 fire missions to engage small-sized, speed targets.
Some combat aircraft of the district will simulate the mock enemy. The Su-30SM multi-purpose fighter jets and Su-25 Grach assault aircraft will make several air raids to check counteractions of radar units and S-300 anti-aircraft systems.
During the flight missions, assault and fighter aviation pilots after radar exposure will work out several anti-missile maneuvers to evade the air defence of the mock enemy.
