Crews of Ka-52 Alligator, Mi-8 AMTSH Terminator, Mi-35 and Mi-28N Night Hunter helicopters of the Southern Military District learned how to launch missiles at training ground in Krasnodar region as part of the second preliminaries of the Aviadarts 2019 contest.

During the sorties, the pilots hit the target, imitating a convoy of military equipment, a group of planes on the airfield and the command post of a mock enemy using unguided missiles and cannon armament.

During live firing, the crews of helicopters launched 80-mm unguided missiles and fired from 30-mm aircraft cannons hit over 20 different targets. In this case, more than 50 missiles and about 1,000 shells to the aircraft cannon were spent.

The task was complicated by the fact that the pilots operated at extremely low altitude, taking into account the mountainous terrain.

In total, more than 10 crews of the army aviation of the Southern Military District were involved in combat shooting.
