The S7 group1 airlines have summed up the results of production activities for February 2019. Over the past month, the airlines carried 1,052,583 passengers, 8.5% more than in February 2018.
769,026 passengers took S7 Airlines flights across Russia, 6.7% more than in February 2018. The growth on international directions amounted to 13.6%. In February 2019, the airlines transported 283,557 passengers on international flights.
The passenger turnover for the month increased by 11.9% and amounted to 2 205 535 thousand pkm.
“The significant increase in the passenger traffic is due to the expansion of the fleet and the increase in the number of flights in the S7 Airlines route network. Compared to February of last year, the S7 Airlines air fleet grew by 14 aircraft, and the number of new flights increased by 8.8%, ” says Igor [Veretennikov, Commercial Director of S7 Group.
S7 Airlines continues to expand its route network, offering passengers new direct flights. In February, sales started for new flights from Novosibirsk to Astana and Batumi, as well as for a reintroduced flight from Moscow to Vienna. S7 Airlines together with its partner airline Royal Air Maroc started flights to Morocco.
Last month S7 Airlines received the Skyway Service Award aviation prize in two nominations. Passengers recognized the S7 Priority loyalty program and the airline’s service in economy class for domestic flights to be the best.
