Aeroflot has taken the prestigious Global CIO award in the IT in Finance Function category for the successful implementation of its data mart project for tax monitoring. 

The project is highly relevant and part of the digitalisation of business processes and of establishing transparent relationships between the tax authorities and taxpayers through online access to financial information, which makes oversight of financial activity possible without the active involvement of company employees. It also makes information on the activity of Aeroflot and its counterparties as transparent as possible and accessible at any time, and provides quick access to relevant information. Through the data mart, Federal Tax Service employees have access to scans of original accounting documents from the electronic archive.

The competition is organised by the Global CIO professional community of Russian IT directors and was held for the seventh time. It is supported by professional IT associations and leading IT media. This year, over 200 projects were submitted.
