In the Khabarovsk Territory, on the basis of a mixed air formation of the Eastern Military District, the flight personnel performed one of the most difficult elements of flight training - in-flight refueling.

The MiG-31BM, Su-30SM, Su-35S, and Su-34 aircraft were involved in the events — altogether more than 10 aircraft.

The Il-78 military transport aviation tanker refuelled the fighter jets and bombers, taking into account compliance with the established requirements for height and speed when performing this type of flight training.

All training missions were carried out both at day- and nighttime. At night they use additional lighting of the tanker aircraft and the refueled airplane.
