The S7 Group member airlines have summed up the results of their business activity for January 2019. Over the course of the past month, the airlines carried 1,171,566 passengers, which is 6.7% more than in January of 2018.

826,499 passengers took S7 Airlines flights across Russia, which is 4% more than in January of 2018. The growth for international destinations was 13.6%. In January 2019, the airlines carried 345,067 passengers on international flights.

The passenger traffic for the month increased by 10.4% and reached 2,473,762 thousand pkm.

“The increase of the passenger flow in the previous month for both domestic and international routes reflects our expectations. In January, traditionally, the most popular destinations were the ones that offered winter outdoor activities — the cities of Northern Italy around Piedmont and the Dolomites, Austrian Salzburg and Innsbruck, and, of course, Sochi,” says the commercial director of the S7 Group Igor Veretennikov.

S7 Airlines continue expanding its flight geography in Western Europe. In January, it began selling tickets for flights from Moscow to Nice, from St. Petersburg to Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Olbia, and Nice. At the end of April, the Pulkovo airport will offer director flights to Mallorca and Sardinia for the first time.
