Sheremetyevo International Airport shareholders extended Michael Vasilenko's as Director General by three years

At the extraordinary general meeting of JSC Sheremetyevo International Airport shareholders on October 30, 2019, the decision was taken to appoint M.M. Vasilenko to the position of JSC SIA Director General for a three-year period, starting November 8, 2019.

M.M. Vasilenko has been heading the airport since 2005. Under his management, Sheremetyevo has become Europe's top airport in terms of service quality, as shown in the results of a study conducted by the ASQ ACI program. In 2019, Sheremetyevo airport received a perfect 5-star rating from Skytrax for its new Terminal B. According to an OAG rating, Sheremetyevo is one of the ten largest airports in Europe and the most punctual airport in its category in the world.
Between 2005 and 2018, passenger traffic at Sheremetyevo airport grew from 12.2 million to 45.8 million people. According to estimates, the airport is expected to provide service to more than 50 million passengers in 2019. At present, Sheremetyevo is the largest airport in Russia in terms of passenger and cargo traffic.
According to RBC, Sheremetyevo airport became one of the country's top 5 largest companies with its highest revenue growth rate in 2014–2018, up by almost 3 times from RUB 20.24 billion to RUB 57.98 billion.

The decision to appoint M.M. Vasilenko to the position of Director General of JSC Sheremetyevo International Airport was taken at a meeting of shareholders in accordance with article 14, paragraph 14.2, subparagraph 14.2.11 and article 16, paragraph 16.1 of the JSC SIA Charter.
