S7 Airlines, a member of the oneworld® global airline alliance, became the recipient of the National Geographic Traveler Awards 2019. In an online poll, the magazine readers named S7 Airlines the best Russian airline.
In 2019, S7 Airlines expanded its range of flights, offering travelers more attractive destinations for vacation. The airline started flights from Moscow to Nice, Milan, and Dalaman, from St. Petersburg to Palma de Mallorca, Barcelona, and Olbia, from Novosibirsk to Guangzhou, and from Vladivostok to Taipei.
In the winter season, those who enjoy winter outdoor activities can take direct flights to different cities with ski slopes nearby, including Turin, Verona, and Milan in Italy, Innsbruck and Salzburg in Austria, Munich in Germany, Plovdiv in Bulgaria, Sochi, Mineralnye Vody, Kemerovo, and Novokuznetsk in Russia.
S7 Airlines traditionally offers passengers free transportation of a set of ski equipment, regardless of the ticket fare. In addition to baggage, each passenger can carry one set of equipment, including a pair of alpine skis with ski poles or a snowboard, as well as boots, a helmet, goggles, and special clothes, packed in one ski bag. The total weight of the bag with the equipment must not exceed 23 kg (50.7 lb) for economy class passengers and 32 kg (70.5 lb) for those who fly in business class.
S7 Airlines continues upgrading its fleet, increasing the number of modern and comfortable Airbus A320neo and Airbus A321neo planes. Currently, there are 20 aircraft of this family in the airline’s fleet.
