The crews of the fighter-bomber aviation of the 4th air defence and air force army of the Southern Military District are preparing for air-to-air refuelling as part of the flight tactical exercise.

The crew of the Su-27 and Su-30SM fighters, as well as Su-34 bombers, will be involved in one of the most difficult elements of flight training.

Refueling will be carried out from the IL-78 air tanker of the Russian Aerospace Forces at a speed of about 500 km/h at a certain point of the air group’s gathering in compliance with the established altitude requirements.

The pilots will perform the most difficult flight-tactical mission both in the daytime and at night.

Over 30 aircraft of operational-tactical aviation of the Southern Military District will be involved in the exercise.
