Sergei Shoigu spoke about the comprehensive upgrade of the Il-112V aircraft

Prototype Il-112V, which will replace the An-26, now is undergoing comprehensive revision. This reported by Minister of Defence Sergei Shoigu.

"As for the light military transport aircraft Il-112V, which will replace the An-26, now its prototype is undergoing comprehensive revision, including with the aim of reducing weight. Flight tests will resume in the first quarter of next year.", said Sergei Shoigu during teleconference of Defence Ministry.

The Minister of Defence also said that today the completion of the prototype IL-76MD-90A is being completed to full compliance with the tactical and technical specifications. In October, it's trials will continue.

In May 2020, it is planned to complete factory flight tests of a promising refueling aircraft.

He said that the meeting will discuss issues related to the renewal of the fleet of military transport aircraft. As Sergei Shoigu emphasized, the combat readiness of the Armed Forces directly depends on solution of this task.
