The crew of Black Sea Fleet frigate Admiral Makarov, after leaving the Greek island of Corfu, conducted a complex of naval exercises with combat exercises in the Mediterranean Sea.
In the framework of the exercise, the crew of the Ka-27PS deck-based aviation helicopter made flights for air reconnaissance and search and rescue missions, during which they trained naval crews providing helicopter flights, and checked the coordination of all the systems of the ship’s aviation complex.
The sailors practiced search, detection, tracking and destruction of a mock enemy submarine, as well as the air defence of the ship during the voyage with the implementation of electronic launches of anti-aircraft missiles.
