Rossiya Airlines, the base carrier of Pulkovo, is recognized as the leader in transportation of transfer passengers of Saint-Petersburg airport

«Best Contribution to Transfer Development» award was held as a part of the traditional annual ceremony LED Together, at which the management company of Pulkovo Airport, Northern Capital Gateway LLC, commended the best airlines of the Saint-Petersburg air terminal according to the results of 2018.

Almost 500 thousand transfer passengers of Pulkovo have used flights of Rossiya Airlines in Saint-Petersburg in 2018. The main transfer passenger traffic of the airline was formed due to the programme of transportation of passengers from the regions through the northern capital to European cities. The most convenient flight destinations through Saint-Petersburg for passengers are Rostov-on-Don – Milan, Rostov-on-Don – Berlin, Rostov-on-Don – Munich, Krasnodar – Munich, Krasnodar – Berlin.

Pulkovo is the base airport for Rossiya Airlines; more than a half of the airline’s fleet is concentrated here. More than that, Pulkovo is the key airport for Rossiya – the airline annually develops its route network providing passengers with a flexibility to choose flights from North-West regions of Russia and abroad. According to the airport’s data, the share of the airline’s volume of the total amount of served passengers in 2018 is almost 30%. Geography of Rossiya’s flights from the airport of the northern capital covers 43 destinations, 20 of which are international ones, in the winter schedule 2018-19.

According to the results of 2018 Rossiya has transported about 5.5 mln passengers though Pulkovo. The most popular airline’s destinations from Saint-Petersburg are Moscow’s Vnukovo International Airport, resorts of the Black Sea coast of Russia, Kaliningrad and Murmansk.
