S7 Airlines, a member of the oneworld® global aviation alliance, is offering its passengers an opportunity to appreciate the convenience of an updated version of its mobile app — all the necessary information about your upcoming flight is now available on the flight card on the first screen. In addition, the app now includes airport maps, the possibility to scan documents and other useful options for quick and convenient planning of a trip.
Passengers now can access their bookings in the S7 Airlines mobile app and immediately see their gate number with additional information about the type of boarding — a bus or a jet bridge, the current schedule, and the aircraft layout. You can start tracking the weather in your arrival city three days prior to your trip.
Detailed maps of the arrival and departure airports provide directions, something that is especially important for passengers with connecting flights.
“Nowadays we essentially never put our smartphones down. It’s important for us to give our passengers an opportunity to plan their trip and receive all the relevant information in a format convenient to them. In the most recent update of the S7 Airlines app, we emphasized the convenience of use at the airport. For a departing passenger, it’s a source of useful information about the upcoming flight, and for those who are waiting for someone’s arrival, it’s an up-to-date board with information about S7 Airlines flights,” said Elena Muzikantova, Deputy General Director of S7 Travel Retail.
S7 Airlines has integrated into its app options available to users with different operating systems all the way up to the most recent iPhone operating system — iOS 12. First of all, this includes quick commands for the Siri voice assistant. Now search queries on the flight board and the parameters of regularly scheduled flights are saved in the “Quick Commands” tab, which can be access via the voice menu. For example, you can say: “Hi Siri! Find my tickets to St. Petersburg.” Quick commands for a greater number of destinations can be added manually as well in the S7 Airlines “Best Offers” section.
In the updated version, iOS and Android users have access to an option to scan documents. To add details of Russian or foreign passports, visas and bank cards while buying a ticket, the camera of a smartphone should be held over the document, and the fields will be automatically populated. The documents mentioned above can be saved to a personal account in the app for future trips.
