Russian military spacecraft Cosmos-2430 de-orbited as planned

On January 5 at 9:48 a.m. (MSK time), the Kosmos-2430 Russian spacecraft was de-orbited as planned.

The satellite completely burned in the dense atmosphere over the Atlantic Ocean at an altitude of about 100km.

The Russian Aerospace Forces on duty controlled the descent of the vehicle at all parts of its trajectory.

The spacecraft was launched in 2007, and in 2012 it was withdrawn from the orbital group of the Russian Federation.
