On September 12, by the decision of an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of RSC Energia held in the form of voting by correspondence elected as the General Director of the Corporation was Sergey Yurievich Romanov.

Sergey Yurievich Romanov has been working at the company since 1980. During that time he rose through the ranks form an engineer to the Chief Designer of manned space systems of the Corporation.

He is a Doctor of Engineering Science, a winner of prizes of the Government of the Russian Federation in science and technology, has numerous awards from the government and the industry. Since August 2018 he has been the acting General Director of S.P.Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation.
