During maneuvers at the Tsugol training ground, the A-50U airborne early warning and control aircraft was involved in actions to repel a mock air strike.
An air complex fulfilled the tasks of on-duty in the air, the detection of air targets and the transfer of their coordinates to the MiG-31, Su-35S, Su-30SM fighters of the air defense patrols of the Eastern Military District.
The A-50U airborne early warning and control aircraft allows to timely detect and intercept all air targets at a distance of more than 200 kilometers before entering the zone of responsibility of the air defence units of the district.
