30 aircraft (24 helicopters and 6 airplanes) of the Air Force of the People's Liberation Army of China will take part in the Vostok 2018 maneuvers.

The helicopters of the Air Forces of the PRC are represented by six Mi-171 helicopters procured in Russia, nine Z-9 helicopters and the same number of Z-19 helicopters.

The planes and helicopters have been repositioned and are located at the operational airfields of the Eastern Military District and will be involved in the main stage of the joint practical actions of the Russian Armed Forces and the People's Liberation Army.

The Vostok 2018 maneuvers have kicked off in the territory of the Far East and Pacific Ocean water zones on September 11-17 in accordance with the Russian Armed Forces under the leadership of the General of the Army Sergei Shoigu.
