The Board of Directors meeting of Sheremetyevo International Airport JSC (JSC SIA) was held on August 29, 2018 and was chaired by Alexander Ponomarenko
The JSC SIA Board of Directors approved reports on the actual implementation of the Timeline for the commissioning of infrastructure facilities at Sheremetyevo International Airport including the project of Terminal C reconstruction and extension and the project of Terminal C parking reconstruction.
The JSC SIA Board of Directors approved the financial statements for the first 6 months of 2018 prepared in accordance with the Russian Accounting Standards (RAS). Revenue in the first 6 months of 2018 increased by 6,0% to RUB 13.941 million, gross profit amounted to RUB 9.120 million, the growth is 7,4% as compared with the result of the same period in 2017.
According to the results of the first half of 2018 Sheremetyevo entered TOP-5 fastest growing European airports welcoming more than 25 million passengers per year and ranked second according to ACI-Europe. In the first six months of 2018 the number of served passengers grew by 13% as compared with the same period of 2017, and reached 20,504,000. The total number of takeoff and landing operations grew by 14,3% and reached 164,408.
Sheremetyevo also has remained the leader of punctuality in the rating of airports in the category Major airports since February 2017 and until present according to the US company Flightstats. The number of flights departed on time amounted to 94%.
In the conclusion of the meeting the Chairman of the Board of Directors Alexander Ponomarenko emphasized, «The results of the first 6 months of 2018 show that JSC SIA develops its infrastructure, increases production capacities, strengthens financial highlights smoothly and in accordance with the Long-Term Development program. The strengthening of SIA’s competitive position in Europe and worldwide, entering the world’s leaders league in punctuality and airport service quality make the confidence in the determined development strategy.»
