Philippines hold talks with Russia to purchase helicopters and small arms

Manila is holding negotiations with Russia on the possible purchase of helicopter equipment and small arms, said Rosoboronexport’s head Alexander Mikheyev at the Army-2018 international military-technical forum.

"We expect that the Philippine Ministry of Defense will be interested in our products, the products of military-technical corporations. These are helicopter equipment, small arms, and automobile equipment. That’s why we are conducting negotiations and we hope that we’ll have some preliminary results in the near future," he said.

The Army-2018 international military-technical forum opens in the Moscow Region’s Kubinka on Tuesday and will run until August 26.
