Chinese fighter jets fly to Chelyabinsk region for Peace Mission 2018 drills

Fighter jets of the People's Liberation Army of China made a flight to the Shagol airfield, Chelyabinsk region, to take part in the Peace Mission 2018 SCO joint drills.

A PLA group is made up of two Shenyang J-11 multi-functional fighter jets, Xian JH-7 fighter bombers and six Shaanxi Y-9 multi-purpose transport aircraft.

Earlier, four Mi-171 multi-purpose helicopters , four G-10 attack helicopters and two Il-76 transport aircraft of the PLA had arrives at the Shagol airfield. Thus, the whole Chinese air group has been redeployed to the Chelyabinsk region.

The Peace Mission 2018 SCO drills is held every two years involving 3,000 troops and over 500 pieces of armaments and military hardware.
