Mi-24 and Mi-8AMTSh-V redeployed from Siberia to Ural for Peace Mission drills

The Mi-24 and Mi-8AMTSh-V helicopters were redeployed from Novosibirsk region to an airfield near Chelyabinsk to take part in the SCO Peace Mission 2018. In total sixteen rotary-winged aircraft made a flight.

During international maneuvers, pilots will cover ground units while combat tasks, and airlift cargoes of various purposes.

On August 22-29 in Chebarkul, Chelyabinsk region, there will be the SCO Peace Mission 2018 joint military counter-terrorism command post exercise.   Troops from eight countries will practise joint command and control during counterterrorism operation. It will also increase the level of readiness of management bodies, forces and means of the SCO member States in fight against combat terrorism and extremism. Practical actions will involve servicemen of India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
