Utair passenger numbers increased by 8 % in six months of 2018

Utair reviewed its performance for the first six months of 2018. During this period the airline handled 3,536,580 passengers, which is 8 % up on the similar period last year (+7.8 % for domestic destinations and +9.1 % for international destinations). The passenger load factor for the period fr om January to June grew by 6.21 p. p. to reach a total of 77.69 %.

“In 2017, Utair launched new flight routes from Moscow to European destinations, such as Berlin, Vienna, Milan, and Munich. During this year, they have been demonstrating good performance: in June passenger numbers on international flights grew by 6.9 % versus the similar period in 2017. In a month, the airline handled 664,115 passengers with a passenger load factor of 78.74 %,” reported Pavel Permyakov, President at Utair – Passenger Airlines.

Utair is one of the TOP-5 air carriers of Russia. The airline flies to 150 destinations, over 60 of which are serviced exclusively by Utair. In 2017, Utair passenger traffic grew by 9.7% to 7.3 million passengers owing to the increase in load factor and improvement of management efficiency of the aircraft fleet.

In 2017, Utair was the industry leader by punctuality: 98.8% of flights were performed in strict accordance with the timetable. Utair aircraft fleet includes 66 airplanes. Moscow Vnukovo airport is the main hub, wh ere over 160 Utair flights are scheduled daily. Utair is headquartered in Surgut.
