On 7 July 2018, the military-patriotic culture and recreation park ‘Patriot’ will host festivities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Moscow air defence system’s formation.

The modern air defence equipment responsible for air defence of the city of Moscow will be displayed for guests of the festivities y in static and dynamic modes. The S-400 air defence missile systems, Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile-and-gun systems and Nebo-M, Kasta 2-2 and Podlyot radar stations will march and be deployed to detect and eliminate the simulated air targets. Specialists will show how the equipment and combat teams operate inside the complexes. They will also comment on the specifics, tasks and prospects for developing the capital’s air defence.

The task of air defence of Moscow and the country’s central industrial region is entrusted to the special-purpose air defence and missile defence association of the Aerospace Force.
