On May 28, a new Airbus A319 VQ-BCP Rostov-on-Don with the new exclusive livery dedicated to Russian sport, arrived to the fleet of Rossiya.
In 2018, Russia is the venue of international sports competitions. Since the beginning of the year, there have been European Figure Skating Championships in Moscow and European Single Distance Championships in Kolomna. In May, European Wrestling Championships has finished and very soon - in June - the main international football event of the year, which will take place on 11 Russian football arenas, begins.
With the aim of supporting Russian athletes and teams, strengthening the unity of fans, sport spirit and active lifestyle values, the airline introduced a new unique livery project, which, along with the already popular Zenitolet, was implemented on one of the Airbus A319 aircrafts of Rossiya.
Stylized images representing four kinds of sport - football, hockey, gymnastics and figure skating that combine not only winter/summer sports, but also team and individual types, which are the Russian audience’s the most favorites – are selected as the main elements of the special sports livery. All of the elements of the image are stylized with the help of polygonal graphics, which echoes the livery style of Zenitolet, and are harmoniously integrated into the recognizable brand livery of the airline to create the united effect of movement and flight.
Passengers of the airline will soon make a decision regarding the name of the aircraft. Within its Instagram official page, Rossiya Airlines announces a creative contest dedicated to recognize the best name for the aircraft in the sports livery.
Appearance of the new art-aircraft in the fleet of the airline will accompany the sport style of the summer advertising image of Rossiya presented in the main airports of the country, where the airline carries out a programme of flights to more than 130 destinations within this year’s summer timetable.
Successful cooperation experience of Rossiya Airlines with the figure skating team of the Russian Federation, as well as with such hockey teams as SKA, Spartak, Ak Bars, Lokomotiv in terms of charter transportations, demonstrates that the airline is popular among either its passengers or sports collectives that require following sports timetable and special conditions even during the flight.
Since July 2016, Rossiya is a partner and the official carrier of FC Zenit, and the legendary Airbus A319 with the onboard number VQ-BAS – Zenitolet – is the first aircraft that was decorated in colors of a Russian football club. Since the presentation in November 2014, it has gained a wide popularity among football fans and avia-travellers.
Airbus A319 VQ-BCP Rostov-on-Don, which received the new unique livery, has a standard for this type two-class configuration, designed to accommodate 128 passengers: 8 business class seats and 120 economy class seats. This beautiful sports aircraft is designed to inspire our athletes, fans and all passengers to new heights and achievements in sports and active life, which is full of beauty, movement and, of course, flights.
The concept, design and creative application of the project was developed and implemented by the specialists of the airline.
