WMD fighters prevented enemy against Su-30 SM squadron in Kursk Region

The Western Military District’s tactical aircraft, based in the Kursk Region, prevented the simulated enemy’s strike against Su-30 SM fighter squadron within the flight tactical exercise.

More than 10 Su-30 SM 4 ++ generation fighter jets and Mig-29SMT fighters took part in the event. The pilots carried out more than 30 planned sorties, evaded high-precision strikes, performed launches of unguided rockets and firings from GSh-30-2 aircraft guns at targets located at the Pogonovo training ground in the Voronezh Region.

In total, three base airfields in the Voronezh, Tver and Moscow regions, two air-to-ground gunnery range, about 50 pieces of armaments, military and air equipment, and more than 150 servicemen of engineering and flight personnel were involved in this flight tactical exercise.
