Su-34 bombers of the Western Military District (WMD) practised day and night bombing in the Voronezh region.
In the course of scheduled sorties, ten crews flew along a special route evading from radar detection means and carrying out practical bombings at the simulated enemy’s oil refinery and truck tankers.
The practical bombings were performed by the pilots using the new generation Khibiny electronic suppression complexes, which enabled to penetrate the enemy’s air defence system.
Using detached electronic suppression complexes, the pilots put false targets and hid their real location in airspace.
The bombardment strike was delivered on ground targets by high-explosive fragmentation ammunition from altitudes of 500-1100 metres. The successful elimination of targets was registered by means of objective control.
The engineering-and-technical staff of the WMD’s bomber air regiment also took part in the training.
