On April 27, 2018, Onur Air commenced scheduled service from St. Petersburg to Alanya (Turkey). Both the destination and the carrier are new for the schedule of Pulkovo Airport.

The flights are operated twice a week on Mondays and Fridays until May 23, with the third frequency (Wednesdays) adding from the last week of May. The service will continue until October 5 and is performed on the comfortable A320 aircraft with a capacity of 180 seats.

Alanya, the famous Mediterranean Sea coastal resort city, became the third Turkish destination with direct scheduled air connection to St. Petersburg. There are also scheduled flights to Istanbul and Antalya, and charter flights to Antalya, Dalaman and Bodrum.

In 2017 Turkey became one of the most popular destinations in the route network of Pulkovo. The direct passenger flow between St. Petersburg and Turkish cities amounted to 723,000 passengers. The greatest demand occurred in June-September with 470,000 passengers taking direct flights during this period.
