The Southern Military District scouts completed an airborne training course at a mountain training ground in Northern Ossetia jumping with parachutes and meeting the airborne training standards.
Training and combat jumps were carried out by the scouts from the new modernised Mi-8MTSh helicopter using D-6 parachutes from heights of 600-2,000 metres, with full armament and equipment.
In the course of drills, the reconnaissance group trained to parachute to an unknown area, determined its coordinates using the map, made a 10-km advance march and eliminate the simulated enemy with the use of knife combat skills.
In the current year, more than 1,000 scouts have been trained in the reconnaissance training centre.
