Crews of the Central Military District Army Aviation have started flight training course in the Altai mountainous area.
Pilots of Mi-24 and Mi-8AMTSh-V transport combat helicopters will improve their theoretical and practical expertise, as well as navigation skills in mountainous terrain, landing on unprepared high-altitude sites. Flight crews are to accurately determine the weather conditions in the flight area, the wind force and direction when entering to the landing site.
More than 50 pilots and over 10 helicopters were involved in the flights in the mountainous area.
