Ka-27 ASW helicopters of the Pacific Fleet Naval Aviation conducted training flights over the Sea of Japan.
The aircraft from the air base Nikolayevka, both alone and in groups, performed the tasks of searching for and tracking the simulated enemy’s submarine in the assigned areas.
The Ka-27PL pilots, together with the crews of the major ASW ships Admiral Tributs and Admiral Vinogradov, worked out take-offs from and landings on their decks during sailing and staying.
Four Ka-27PS helicopters were involved in practising the tasks. They performed more than 20 take-offs and landings.
