The Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SCAC) consistently implements the program of improvement and development of the SSJ 100 project. As part of these activities, the company has begun developing a new version of the aircraft - SSJ 100R (name for certification - RRJ-95R). About this told the president of the SCAC Alexander Rubtsov at the Eurasia Airshow in Turkey.
The new version will update a number of aircraft systems. To participate in this project have already been invited Russian developers and manufacturers.
The goals of the new version of the SSJ 100R are to reduce its cost, operational costs, increase flexibility in the after-sales service of aircraft systems through the availability of alternative suppliers, which will also contribute to the expansion of the aircraft sales markets. The delivery of SSJ 100R to the first customers is scheduled for 2020.
Thus, SCAC is expanding its product range, offering the market a new version of the SSJ 100R for the existing models, which differ in takeoff weight, range and improved take-off characteristics.
